Guest Speaker: Kenny Braitman, Vietnam War Veteran and Permaculture & Sustainable Farmer
Braitman was featured on MPT's Maryland Farm & Harvest (season 10, 2022).
Join HCC for an inspiring presentation by Kenny Braitman, a
Vietnam War veteran who returned home in 1968 forever
changed after losing both legs while saving a fellow Marine.
Kenny’s life transformed over time while adjusting to losing
his legs. He trained horses, became a blacksmith and then,
using tools he made from blacksmithing, created two food
forests to establish a dependable source of food. One food
forest he began eight years ago and the second two years
ago. The first is already producing food. Kenny manages his
food forest using nature as his teacher.
