Start your bank holiday weekend this Saturday at Earth Friendly Family Day!

Come and join us for a fun-filled day of eco-friendly activities at the Orchard Gardens Community Centre! Bring the whole family for a day of learning and fun. From recycling workshops to organic gardening demos, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Let's celebrate our planet together and learn how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and each other. See you there!

Organised by RMUK and partners. Supported by Lewisham Local and Good Food Lewisham (we're just helping with hosting on Eventbrite but don't want to take credit for the event!)

The day will be packed with fun climate awareness activities, healthy nutritious foods, arts crafts, film and discussion, family drumming session, massage and music and it's all Free of Charge.

Day Itinerary

Free Breakfast and film at 10.30 am

Join our special guest, environmental justice advocate Jordaine Osaghae, for a lovely breakfast chat. She'll be presenting a short film and leading discussions

Plants, Herbs, Seed sale. Grow your own from 11am - 4pm

If you fancy growing your own but never tried before there will be plenty of help.... You can pot and take home your plants and get advice on how to care and reap the rewards of growing. Whether you are new to growing, a keen grower or an avid grower, we have many plants, seeds, herbs and more for sale to help you on your green journey!

11.30 - 4pm Climate Action Lewisham will engage you in fun games and activities to know your carbon footprint and what you can do to help yourself, your friends, your family and your community as we face extreme climate changes.One to One tips on how to save £100's on your fuel and energy bills. Get to Know your personal carbon footprint

Enjoy delicious food, smoothies and vegan cakes at 12 - 4pm. Guava Kitchen, Ellie from Here2Sereve and Ras Asha will provide a range of taster foods to delight you. Delicious Ital and Cultural Plant-based food served throughout the day!

Fun activities for children of all ages! 12 - 3.30pm

Lots of fun activities for children to participate in (children under 12 must be accompanied).

Healthy mini-social-supermarket 12 - 4pm

Will be selling some very delicious food for under £5. Free Groceries for Clarion Residents at the RMUK Wellbeing pop-up social supermarket shop

Happy Drums workshop at 1 pm

Secure your drum for the 1pm Happy Drumming session with Anthony Bailey.

Relaxing Massage at 2pm

Be sure to come early to book your free massage session by Therapy4Healing.

At 4pm, you will be treated to some healing roots reggae cultural and healing songs to relax at the end of a fantastic day.
