EARTH Day Sound Bath at Boxerwood
*This event is hosted by Metta Vibrations. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to Boxerwood.
This year marks the 56th anniversary of Earth Day, and now more than ever we need to respect and honor our connection with the planet we call home.
With this awareness and to offer some mindful reflection, you are invited for an EARTH Day Sound Bath in the Garden at the beautiful Boxerwood Nature Center and Woodland Gardens!
Attendees are certainly encouraged to come early if possible so that you might take time to enjoy a stroll on the grounds and enjoy a beautiful pocket of the Earth.
We will gather on the lovely Boxerwood property (pavilion area) and begin with some reflection on our connection to the Earth and some guided relaxation. Participants will be invited to find a comfortable resting position to enjoy the Sound Bath. Using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gong and more Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations will lead the Sound Bath which will take participants on a journey deep within themselves, all while we rest in the healing comforts of nature. Experiencing a Sound Bath in nature also allows for all the beautiful and beneficial elements of nature to be present as well.
For those unfamiliar, the Sound Bath experience is geared at helping to calm the mind and body, helping achieve meditative states, relieve stress, and more. Nature itself is highly documented to have healing effects on the mind and body as well. This experience is aimed at helping all feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Folks are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the lovely gardens. The event will start at 7pm and will last 1 hour. Sunset occurs at 7:58 this day.
Cost for general attendance is $20; or $15 for Boxerwood members. Pre-registration or cash day of are both acceptable.
Note: As the event gets close we will assess weather considerations and communicate if any changes need to occur.
