About this Event
Join Mélina Mangal for a read-aloud of the books, a book signing, and more Earth Day-themed fun at Red Balloon Bookshop!
About Trees Stand Tall:
People are like trees—strong, flexible, and rooted. In Trees Stand Tall, two young children explore and interact with the trees in their neighborhood. Like tree roots, our families keep us rooted and standing tall.
About Birds Sing Their Words:
Awaken young children to the sounds birds make, and to their own unique voices. In Birds Sing Their Words, two young children notice the birds outdoors and, together with an adult, embark on a walk through their neighborhood. They observe a variety of birds along the way, listening to their calls and noticing how their own voices parallel the many songs that birds sing.
To attend: This event is open to the public, but registration helps us when considering spatial constraints. You can register for a ticket for free through April 19, 9:00am, and preorder the books . Additional copies of Trees Stand Tall and Birds Sing Their Words will be available for purchase during the event, but ordering ahead guarantees your copy.
Signing Guidelines: Following the event, Mélina Mangal will sign and personalize copies of the books. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon can have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.
Accessibility: Red Balloon Bookshop is wheelchair accessible and has a disability parking spot directly behind our store. If you have a disability or medical condition and have questions about or need other specific accommodations, please email [email protected] or call 651-224-8320.
