
About this Event
Goal: To provide Latine artists, cultural product designers and creators across the generations with the tools and strategies to connect their cultural products to wider audiences.
Audience: Latine artists, cultural product designers and creators across the generations.
Workshop Overview: Luis Fitch will lead a dynamic workshop aimed at helping culturally-focused Latine creators and artists and youth interested in design bridge the gap between creation and reaching wider audiences. The workshop’s objective is to foster pride within the Latine community, educate Latines and the general population about Latine art and culture, and ultimately promote a stronger and more successful community of Latine artists and cultural product designers and creators
Participants will generate ideas, create works-in-progress, and/or develop prototypes. CLUES will invite selected participants to exhibited in the gallery as finished products or processes and/or support with sales.
Workshop Schedule:
9:00am-10:00am - Desayuno and Connect: A welcoming breakfast and networking session.
10:00am-12:00pm - Workshop Part 1:
- Background: Introduction to the workshop and its objectives.
- Case Study: An in-depth case study analysis of Luis Fitch cultural products.
- Toolkit: Techniques and strategies for cultural product development.
12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch Break
1:pm-4:00pm - Workshop Part 2:
- Creating the Product Prototype: Hands-on session to conceive, design and/or develop product prototypes.
- Build Community: Activities to foster a sense of community among participants.
