About this Event
This event will center the principles of Intersectional Environmentalism, to highlight the interconnections between social and environmental justice, and act as a catalyst for demanding peace as we find resistance in our joy. We also find it important to elevate local history and stories to preserve the culture from which Denver stems. This event will feature Indigenous dancers leading the opening ceremony, local speakers, poets, musicians, art and food vendors, as well as educational and mutual aid resources all aimed at caring for community needs. Our disconnection from Earth stems from our disconnection with ourselves and others. Therefore, building community, especially during overwhelming times, is the best way we can actively work towards being the change we wish to see in the world and in our communities.
