Celebrate Earth Day by taking action—and then celebrating it.

Join Natural Dividends and On Earth for a hands-on community clean-up at Bushnell Park, followed by one of Hartford’s most vibrant Earth Day celebrations put on by On Earth.

This is more than a clean-up—it’s a full Earth Day experience.

📅 Date: April 25
⏰ Clean-Up: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Location: Bushnell Park (meet near 1 Jewell St)

Bushnell Park spans 37 acres, with 42 garden beds and over 500 trees—there’s plenty of impact to be made.

Activities may include:

• Weeding and planting garden beds
• Spreading mulch around trees
• Litter clean-up throughout the park
• Sweeping the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch steps
• Light cleaning at the Carousel
• Skimming debris from the pond

No experience needed—just show up ready to help.

• Gloves
• Trash bags
• Buckets and tools

You’re welcome to bring your own gloves or tools.
Leaf blowers are especially helpful if you have one!

• Water (strongly recommended)
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Optional: gloves, grabbers, or gardening tools

Dress for the weather and expect to get dirty:

• Clothes you don’t mind getting messy
• Sturdy, comfortable footwear
• Layers if needed

• Restrooms at the Carousel and Pump House
• Secure storage available for bags and belongings

Keep the energy going after the clean-up by heading to On Earth, Hartford’s annual Earth Day celebration.

Taking place from 12 PM – 5 PM in downtown Hartford, this vibrant event features:

• Local vendors and farmers
• Food trucks
• Live music
• Workshops and community programming

It’s designed as a celebration of the incredible volunteer work happening across the region—a reward for giving back and a chance to connect with the broader sustainability community.

Everyone is welcome—no experience necessary. Come solo, bring a friend, or join with a group.
