KLB invites you to participate in our annual Earth Day Clean-Up at Lakewood Public Library (Main Branch) on April 25, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. It’s a great opportunity to make a positive impact in our community! We will also be giving away trees!
• Silky Dogwoods, a fast-growing, native flowering shrub whose fruit attracts birds
• Washington Hawthorns, small trees that grow to 25-30 feet and have beautiful white flowers in May/June, with bright red berries in the fall that attract birds!
We will be joined by some special guests to help Lakewood residents learn how to be better environmental stewards! Look for the Lakewood Refuse Department, where you can easily drop off electronics for recycling or paper for shredding. It's a perfect chance to discover how to properly recycle and dispose of items in Lakewood!
There may be more exciting guests to join us, so be sure to follow KLB on social media for updates and any changes to the event.
KLB is always developing new programs and welcomes fresh faces. If you're interested in volunteering or learning more, please reach out to [email protected]. Join this amazing group and help Keep Lakewood Beautiful!
