Earth Day Civics 101 Discussion

Participants can have a civics 101 discussion with Council Member Dawn Luedtke and hear from two Prathertown neighborhood Commissioners Sheena Foster and Saundra Prather. Lunch will be served

Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commissioner Prather is leading Prathertown’s efforts to preserve and celebrate its historic character. With a deep commitment to safeguarding cultural assets, she is advancing initiatives that protect historic structures, elevate local heritage, and promote responsible development that honors the past while planning for the future.

Commissioner Foster has emerged as a leading voice for women and girls. She is a Commissioner and Chair of the Montgomery County Commission for Women. Her work centers on expanding access to economic opportunities, strengthening support networks, and ensuring that women’s perspectives are represented in local decision-making. She has been instrumental in launching community dialogues on gender equity, advocating for inclusive workforce programs, and partnering with local, state and national organizations to expand mentorship and leadership pathways.
