Join Whale Scout and City of Bothell for an Earth Day celebration and bonus volunteer opportunity! Volunteers will help remove invasive plants near the Sammamish River, making room for healthy, native plants to support salmon habitat. This benefits both salmon and the Southern Resident killer whales that depend on them as a food source.Whether or not you're volunteering, come by Blyth Park to check out Earth Day outreach tables and activities! Learn about sustainability, the City's Climate Action Plan, stormwater pollution prevention, and more! If you're joining us, we encourage you to walk, roll, or carpool.
This is an all-ages and family-friendly event. Volunteers under age 16 will need an adult with them, and those under 18 must have a signed release form by a parent or guardian.
