Are you looking for a creative and durable way to label your vegetables? Join artists Luz Mack-Durini and Dawn Mendelson for a hands-on workshop where you will design your own mosaic garden stake. Using a variety of mosaic recycled glass tiles, participants will craft a colorful 4β x 4β mosaic stake that adds personality and sustainability to your home garden.
Luz and Dawn have each created mosaic art for over two decades. Their passion for creating art and collaborative work is brought to life through a great friendship and creative partnership. Luz started her art career in all things glass, and Dawn began by learning pique assiette, a style of mosaic that incorporates repurposed materials. Using this combination of stained-glass techniques, along with incorporating recycled ceramics into mosaic, is a specialty that brings their talents together. They have made over a dozen large-scale projects and countless small commissions and especially enjoy sharing their love of mosaics with others through workshops and community projects. All materials will be provided.
Ages: 8-99
