You're invited! Join Tacoma On the Go and Tacoma Mobility for a group bike ride and ribbon cutting to celebrate new sidewalks and separated bike lanes on E 64th St! This newest section of E 64th St, between E McKinley Ave and Portland Ave, means safe walking and cycling for neighbors, students, and folks passing through. Come celebrate with us!Group bike ride: Meet at 5pm at Stewart Heights Park, at the corner of E B St & E 60th St. We'll ride the length of the cycle track from Pacific Ave to Portland Ave, then back to McKinley Ave for the ribbon cutting.
Ribbon Cutting: 5:20pm in the parking lot of Good Hope Church (614 E McKinley Ave). Expect to hear from local leaders including Tacoma Council Members Bushnell and Sadalge, get some winter biking/walking safety gear like lights and reflectors, and snacks.
