About this Event
Is it a ritual on death and dying? Is it a bunch of kids playing shape-shifting and enjoying themselves as water creatures? Is it a tool for whole-body sensuality? Is it an embodied metaphor for grieving everything that is withering or falling apart, both in ourselves and in the world at large? Is it a Continuum class?
…It might be a bit of all of these things. Through sound, breath, and movement, we will learn a score to playfully and sensually embody our inner octopus, and then go into a collective ritual where we move through its life cycle and dying process. And we‘ll experience everything there is to experience on the way.
✨ Continuum is a somatic practice of self-exploration (founded by Emilie Conrad) that uses sound, breath and movement in order to connect deeply with ourselves and our fluid nature. It is a way to nurture ourselves, to open up spaces for curiosity and play, to loosen the grip of our habitual tensions and movement patterns, and to access the self-regulatory capacities of the body. We can slow down, calm the nervous system and find deep rest; and we are invited to experience the ongoing processes of our bodies as wordless cosmic poetry and creative expression.
✨ Language: The workshop will be held either in English or in German, depeding on the needs of the group. Please let me know if you have a specific need or preference.
✨ This is an online class and takes place on zoom.
