π SAFE TO PLAY β BUILDING DV-SAFE SPORTING COMMUNITIES πShine Bright Foundation invites you to an important community information session introducing Safe to Play β a new initiative designed to ensure children and families impacted by domestic and family violence can safely participate in community sport.
Domestic and family violence doesnβt stop at home. It follows families onto sidelines, into clubrooms, canteens, and weekend games. Many parents report feeling unsafe, uncertain about attendance boundaries, or withdrawing their children from sport altogether due to intimidation or DV-related risks.
Safe to Play is a first-of-its-kind pilot program supporting children and families to stay connected to sport β while working directly with local sporting clubs to embed DV-safe, trauma-informed practices.
