Join us for Watercolour Painting, a chilled after-hours creative workshop at HBNC’s Night Studio. This session is all about slowing down, learning a new skill, and enjoying some creative time in a welcoming, no-pressure space—perfect for beginners.
Created especially for anyone who wants to spark some creativity after sunset, this workshop is your chance to unwind and experiment with watercolour. Come on your own or with a friend, learn a new skill and leave with artwork you’re proud of. Designed for beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills, this session introduces the basics of watercolour techniques including colour mixing, brush control, layering, and washes. You'll experiment with how water and pigment interact, learning how to create soft blends, textures, and expressive effects.
All materials are provided. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to relax, create, and connect with your community—after hours.

Neighbourhood Night Studio is a relaxed, welcoming after-hours creative space where adults can explore art, learn new skills, and connect with others in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Running weekly in the early evening, the program is designed for beginners and non-artists, with an emphasis on process over perfection and people over performance. To remove barriers and make participation easy, sessions are low-cost, wheelchair accessible, and supported with clear, encouraging guidance. To further support inclusion, free dinner and on-site childcare will be provided, making it easier for parents and carers to attend, slow down, and enjoy time for creativity, connection, and wellbeing.
