Event Overview: Duwamish River Enviro Boat Tour w/ Satterberg

Purpose:
The Enviro Boat Tour aims to provide our partners, staff, and board members with an opportunity to be "in the field" and gain a deeper understanding of the environmental issues impacting the region. You will hear directly from experts on the ground, particularly from our partners at the Duwamish River Community Coalition. This engaging field trip will also allow participants to learn about the ongoing improvements in the Duwamish River area, which is a Superfund site.
Schedule:
10:30 AM: Participants arrive at Pier 57
11:00 AM: Boat departs from Pier 57
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Environmental tour of the Duwamish River
Learn about the history and current status of the Superfund site
Observe the improvements and efforts being made to restore the river
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Return journey to Pier 57 with lunch and beverages provided onboard
1:00 PM: Tour concludes at Pier 57
