With Quadrant Soundsysytem DJ's ChrisQ+RichP who have been keeping it real since 1995 bridging the the underground house connection between the UK and Prague CZ ever since.Bearing the name of the Sound System in which they started with their collective, a bunch of
party folk born out of Rave culture and the Midlands free party scene in the early 90's, Rich
and Chris returned as Quadrant in the latter half of 2021. Mixing Underground Deep and Tech
House, their sets take us on a journey through the history of House Music old and new.
A Brief History
The Quadrant crew hit the scene in 1995 putting on afterparties in and around Nottingham. A
coming together, of like minds and great friendships. In the Summer of 1996, they built a 10k
rig in the living room, and took on the baton to push the underground house scene to a
warehouse, club & wherever they could… By ‘97 they were packing clubs with their legendary
Rebound parties, a night recognised by Mixmag and Radio 1 in the UK, and a year later headed
to Prague, with their infamous fire engine and few boxes of records.. The rest is history!
Chris and Rich continued to put on parties in the UK too, and spent the initial part of the 2000’s
linking up with the London scene, building long lasting friendships with DJ’s and promoters
whilst visiting Eukatech and Swag Records, getting influenced by the fresh sounds from the
capital.
The Quadrant name back out to crowds old and new.
Since then there's been no looking back with both Chris and Rich playing at various festivals,
joining forces on radio stations Bloop, Flock and MHYH, guesting and putting on club nights in
the U.K and finally giving a new lease of life to Rebound moving back to its original venue in
Prague for a yearly weekender, as well as both hitting the studio with various projects.
