DUSTY DINNERS WITH SONORA TAQUERIA
After the knock out of Dusty Dinners with Roti King we are opening the doors for one last time before Dalston becomes a pizza gaff for the Summer
Sonora Taqueria are our local Mexican based in N16. Founded by husband and wife Michelle and Sam, these guys are masters of the tortilla and authentic Mexican.
Standing outside their shop with their homemade grilled pineapple and habanero salsa dripping out of the bottom of your taco is one of the finest experiences Hackney to offer.
We’re both about bread, wrapping things in it, filling it up, making it well.
Michelle and Sam have created something knockout for the final Dusty Dinners. A little twist on their usual offering of Senora street food, they're taking us to Michelle's home city of Hermosillo, Northern Mexico, where quality beef, fresh tortillas and fried snacks reign.
This is traditional cowboy food meant to be eaten under the desert sun! (Or in a bakery on a Friday night?!)

CARNE SECA
Sonoran beef jerky, served toasted and dressed in a mix of spicy and tangy salsas.
TACOS DORADOS
Crispy, fried tacos in a bright tomatillo and avocado salsa.
Cabeza: slow braised ox tongue in cheek, rich and indulgent
Veggie: Chorizo: Spiced and smoky mushrooms with potato.

Build your own tacos, a sharing platter for two with all the trimmings: handmade tortillas, refried beans, fresh cheese, and red rice.
Beef rib in chile colorado - A take on a Sonoran classic. Confit in its own fat then cooked again in a rich Chile Colorado sauce until it’s melting off the bone.
Veggie: Chile Verde Relleno (V) - Stuffed green chiles served with creamy jocoque and charred onions.
COYOTA DE PILONCILLO
The emblematic dessert of Hermosillo (home). A flaky pastry stuffed with raw cane sugar caramel. Served with whipped Cajeta cream.
