Dury Dava is a five-piece band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2016. Their original music spans across several genres, paying tribute to the raw grit of 60's psychedelia and 70's krautrock, fusing elements from the Greco-Turkish musical traditions such as odd rhythms and folk dances with a punk mentality. They are known for their spontaneous and explosive live shows often held in unexpected urban locations or mystical summer festivals on remote Greek islands. Their debut self-titled album (double LP) was released in May 2019 via Patras-based independent label Inner Ear Records to much praise, both locally and internationally. In April 2022 the band released their second album, entitled Deluxe. In the winter of 2023, Dury Dava completed their first European tour playing in 11 countries, with sold out shows in venues such as Badehaus in Berlin and L’International in Paris. They are currently working on their third LP, to be released early 2025. During the Summer of 2024, the band visited a number of remote Greek locations in the mainland and the islands. After that, a second, month-long European tour is being planned for November 2024.
