Come out to Durham Central Park (501 Foster Street) on Saturday, June 13 from 9AM-12PM to kick off National Pollinator Week (June 22-26) with us! Learn all about our local pollinators, why they are important, and how you can help protect them. This will “bee” a free, family friendly event!Durham Bee Day is an initiative of the Durham Bee City Committee.
You can expect to:
-See real bees in a demonstration hive
-Taste honey
-Meet beekepeers
-Make a bee costume or bring your own and join a Bee Parade (Parade at 10:30AM)
-Plant pollinator seeds to take home
-Take home a free pollinator-friendly plant
-Visit a pollinator garden
-Learn about pollinator habitat conservation

We are also looking for environmental organizations to table at the event. Email [email protected] to be considered. Please note that organizations attending the event will not be permitted to sell merchandise.
