About the Artists: Alberta Khoury is a classical guitarist from Sydney, Australia and recently completed her doctorate at Juilliard. Her first solo album, Pangaea Calling, includes original compositions inspired by the notion of connecting with a greener Earth. Queens-based guitarist Adrian Ayala studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where he holds a Copland Scholarship.
Location: The Glass Clouds Ensemble House (Building 14, Nolan Park) is a beautiful community arts space with a cozy living room salon & porch seating, surrounded by lots of green space
Governors Island is a 10-min ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn –ferry schedule & more info. It's a great place to spend a weekend day, rain or shine, with lots of indoor art exhibits, bike paths, and food trucks!
About the host: Glass Clouds Ensemble is an Organization in Residence with Governors Island Arts and is hosting free music programming all summer long on the island along with art exhibits and sound installations — come visit us at House 14 in Nolan Park!
