Decca recording artists Giampaolo Bandini (guitar) and Cesare Chiacchiaretta (bandoneon) are celebrating their 15thanniversary of music-making and their deep commitment to present Argentina’s music through the charm and magic of its most representative instruments. The duo quickly became an important point of reference in the international concert circuit thanks to their exceptional musical communication and magnetic stage charisma. Regularly invited by festivals and theatres around the world, they have toured in over 50 countries and maintain annual or biannual tours in the United States and Canada, receiving outstanding critical and audience approval.Following the consistent success and popularity of the duo, they signed with the Decca label, releasing their debut CD “Escualo” in January 2017 to great critical acclaim, followed by their 2020 release of “Tango y Folia,” which featured a new work written for the duo by Leo Brouwer titled “Folia a traves de los siglos.” The great Argentinian composer Maximo Diego Pujol has also dedicated a new work to the duo titled “Sonata del suburbio” which received its World Premiereat the 2024 Guitar Foundation of America Convention and International Competition.As educators, they are in great demand by the most renowned academies and international Universities and hold classes at the Institutes of Higher Education “Luigi Boccherini” in Lucca and “Umberto Giordano” in Foggia.BCGS programs are supported by The Maryland State Arts Council, The Citizens of Baltimore County, Creative Forces Community Engagement Grants, a part of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Creative Forces® initiative, in partnership with Mid-America Arts Alliance, the Augustine Foundation, the Cape Foundation, the D’Addario Foundation, the Savarez Foundation, William G.
