About this Event
Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Blue-Green Connections, and City of Dunedin at the Dunedin History Museum on Saturday, Feb. 28th for a cleanup in Downtown Dunedin. Volunteers will help clean the Pinellas Trail and surrounding areas.
After the cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to attend the Dunedin Gulf Coast Fest, a free, eco-friendly, and zero-waste event celebrating the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot! This family-friendly event highlights ocean conservation and sustainable practices. Enjoy art and craft vendors, live music, hands-on activities, live animals, and educational exhibits focused on sustainability, reducing plastic waste, protecting wildlife, and preserving the essential ocean ecosystems that support our lives.
Please note: Volunteers under the age of 18 need to be signed for by a parent or guardian.
WHEN:
- 8:45 am until 9:00 am - Check-in
- 9:00 am - 11:00 am - Cleanup
WHERE TO MEET: Downtown Dunedin next to the Dunedin History Museum. Check-in will be in front of the museum closer to Main Street. Look for the table and tent!
WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes such as boots or sneakers and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend bringing a hat or sunglasses too.
WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including safety vests, pickers, reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray. You are welcome to bring your own bucket if you have one! A water refill station will be available, please bring a reusable water bottle.
