A day dedicated to improving your communication skills and pitching, in collaboration with ScotlandIS and Greg Summers.
About this Event

What is it?

We're working with ScotlandIS to provide a dedicated event to founders aimed at improving communications skills with Greg Summers, an expert on public speaking and stage presence.

As a founder, it is essential to be able to deliver engaging and coherent pitches or presentations in order to win new business, obtain investment or raise awareness of your field.

Greg will share 15 Golden points that will help you look forward to your next public speaking, presentation or pitch opportunity with improved confidence.

The session will also cover preparation, structure and delivery of presentations, there will even be a chance to practice your pitch and receive constructive feedback on ways to improve.

This opportunity is open to any tech founders or people hoping to become a tech founder in Dundee, Perthshire or Angus.

What can I expect?

This will be a full day programme from 10 till 4 with a talk and workshop from Greg Summers on pitching and public speaking and a chance for people to present their practice pitches in the afternoon.

We'll have dedicated time for breaks and networking, as well as identified quiet areas for anyone that needs some personal space at any point.

Tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the day and we will break for an hour in the middle of the day for people to go and grab lunch (we have Annie's cafe downstairs and plenty of other great options nearby!).

When and where is it taking place?

This event will take place on the third floor of the Abertay cyberQuarter, 1-3 Bell Street, Dundee, DD1 1LH.

Who will be there?

This event is open to Techscaler members and anyone else in the tech and startup community looking to practice their pitches and public speaking.

This event is organised by CodeBase and Techscaler and in addition to founders, you will also have the opportunity to chat with the CodeBase team and find out more about how CodeBase and Techscaler can support you.
