Vision Carthage is proud to announce that Dumpster Day, our free community cleanup event, will return on Sunday, May 3!This event will provide Carthage residents with an opportunity to get rid of a variety of unwanted items. Scrap metal, *tires, and bulky items like mattresses will be accepted. In addition to paper shredding, this year, we'll also be accepting clean, soft plastic bags to support a project through artCentralCarthage.
While this event is open to Carthage residents outside of city limits, proof of a Carthage address will be required.
Dumpsters will be secured behind the fence located at the Fair Acres Sports Complex parking area on George E Phelps Blvd.
*We will be accepting tires, but they must be separated from the rim.
Our event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (or until our dumpsters reach capacity) on Sunday, May 3. For those taking part in citywide yard sales that weekend, we hope this will be a helpful spot to bring those leftover items you no longer want for disposal.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to make this event better each year and look forward to helping our residents clean up Carthage on May 3.
