About this Event

Repast engages in a musical duel for two violins, exploring the technical possibilities of the instrument as well as the free-wheeling experimentation of musical form in the early Baroque. This program reflects the dramatic upheaval of Europe coming out a time of major plagues and the trauma of the 30 Years’ War. With chamber music by Biber, Buxtehude, Schmelzer, Marini, Hacquart, and Bertali.
