THE MAGPIE
"The Magpie is heavy rock and roll band from Raleigh, NC, formed by Erik Sugg (Demon Eye) and Brian Walsby (Double Negative, Snake Nation, Polvo.) Their Firelight Records debut, engineered by Corrosion of Conformity’s Mike Dean, fuses elements of heavy metal, post hardcore, noise, and vintage psychedelia. Recommended for lovers of heavy underground ’90s rock, stoner metal, and ’80s punk."
EVIL EYE
"Formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in late 2023, Evil Eye is a powerhouse trio of heavy, fuzzed-out rock & roll owing to the likes of Grand Funk Railroad, Mountain, and Black Sabbath. Their debut album, Wizard War I is a love letter to heavy rock from the 1970s spanning territory from flat-out motorcycle rock to laid-back stoner grooves. Thick riffs, soaring guitar solos, spacey vocal howls and a rhythm section with a fiercely classic attitude.
Evil Eye is returning to the studio in early 2026 to bring you another searing slab of psychedelic riffage so tune out, turn off, drop acid we’ll see you in the astral plane."
