About this Event
Duckbill Author Evening with Rachel Louise Martin, PhD
Duckbill Bookshop welcomes historian and writer Dr. Rachel Louise Martin for a discussion of her book, A Most Tolerant Little Town. The book explores the little-known story of Tennessee's Clinton High School, the first school in the former Confederacy to attempt court-mandated desegregation in 1956.
Join us for an evening with Dr. Martin, featuring a moderated discussion of The Most Tolerant Little Town, an audience Q&A, and book signing. Afterward, guests are invited to meet Dr. Martin, have books signed, and continue the conversation. We look forward to learning about her work as we enjoy great books and good company together.
