Latinx Fiesta takes over the Millwork District with sizzling food, live music, folkloric dance, vibrant art, family fun, and 25+ vendors bringing the flavors and spirit of Latin America to Iowa. Step inside for a Latinx & Indigenous art exhibition plus hands-on art making — all FREE, all for YOU!
AUTHENTIC FOOD AND VENDORS:
More than 25+ food and original vendors will fill the streets with authentic Latin flavors, desserts, drinks, handmade crafts, clothing, jewelry, and artwork.
LIVE MUSIC AND PERFORMANCES:
Enjoy the sounds of La Combi (salsa), El Alto Del Maíz (Latin jazz), and the vibrant tradition of Danza Folklórica del Oeste. Plus, don’t miss the special appearance of Luchador Latin Thunder.
OPENING CELEBRATION OF THE DUBUQUE MUSEUM OF ART:
Step inside the Dupaco Voices Building for the grand opening of the new Dubuque Museum of Art. Explore exhibitions featuring Latinx and Indigenous artists — Threads of Belonging and In Conversation: Will Wilson — and join in hands-on family art-making activities for all ages.
CULTURAL HIGHLIGHTS:
The Fiesta brings unique experiences to the Millwork District, including a dazzling quinceañera dress showcase, a thrilling food-eating contest, and a lively round of Lotería, the traditional Mexican bingo game.
AFTERPARTY
The celebration continues with Latin Night with DJ Papi at The Smokestack, 9 PM (21+).
