We are very excited to be able to present a singing session with some of Dublin's finest traditional singers and community singing organisers. This is a free event but donations will be gratefully received.
Unfortunately the venue is upstairs but there are toilets on the same floor as the function room.
Macdara Yeates is a singer, guitarist, researcher, vernacular historian and community singing organiser. Macdara co-founded the traditional singing session 'The Night Before Larry Got Stretched' in 2012 which ever since has acted as a woodshed for a new generation of singers interested in the grand tradition of Irish traditional song. Macdara has recently set out on his own solo singing career with the release of his debut album 'Traditional Singing From Dublin' and has been receiving rave reviews wherever he goes.
Jerry O'Reilly is a singer, set dance teacher, community singing leader and a founding member and often MC of Dublin's longest standing traditional singing club An Góilín. Founded in 1979 the club has a reputation for very high standards of both singing and listening.
Rosie Davis is a singer, musician, dancer and community artist. She leads song writing workshops, singing sessions and teaches Irish set dancing with Jerry.
