Whether you’re new to the technique or want to deepen your skills, this class provides practical tools for weaving dual and multiple timelines and points of view into a cohesive, compelling story. Participants will examine a variety of timeline structures—including call-and-response, parallel, converging, alternating, interwoven, and hidden timelines—and summarize how each can enhance tension, theme, and emotional resonance. By the end of the workshop, writers will have a clearer understanding of the power of dual timelines and multiple POVs and how to shape stories that feel seamless and engaging.
Denny S. Bryce is a best-selling, award-winning author of historical fiction. A former dancer and public relations professional, Denny is an adjunct professor in the MFA program at Drexel University, a book critic for NPR, and a freelance writer whose work has appeared in USA Today and Harper's Bazaar.
