About this Event

We are delighted you have decided to join us for our DSPCA Camp Experience.


The camps are help onsite the DSPCA, Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16

Eircode: D16 FP80


Children attending the camp must be dropped and collected to and from the designated Education Cabin. You can take an immediate right hand turn when you come through the main DSPCA gates and we are next to the Veterinary Hospital.


Throughout the camp we will have a mix of fun activities including educational talks.


Please note: Our income is a direct donation to the DSPCA Animal Shelter therefore we have a strict no refund policy in place.



Requirements
  • It is recommended that camp participants have an up to date anti tetanus vaccine.
  • Camp times start sharp at 10AM so we would appreciate arrival to be on time - we cannot accommodate early arrivals.
  • Camp finishes sharp at 3pm - please note we need children collected on time as there may not be supervision available after 3pm.
  • Suitable clothing for outdoor activities should be warn. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather. Please refrain from wearing jewellery.
  • Unfortunately we cannot take on people with animal allergies.
  • Please notify us of any medical conditions or special requirements before applying - this will help us to make sure your child can be accommodated and that we can plan activities and is required as part of our Child Safe Guarding and Health & Safety requirments.
  • Mobile phones may be brought and kept in bags but will not be allowed during the camp.
  • Please bring a suitable pack lunch - please note we are a Nut and Banana Free Classroom so we would appreciate it if you could take this into account when planning and packing lunches.
  • Please note as the DSPCA is a Working Animal Shelter some animals may not be available for viewing on the week of the camp, we will do our best to substitute these animals for others.
  • It is the DSPCA policy to have a ratio of 1:12 (one competent adult to every 12 children).
  • A copy of our child Protection Policy is available on request.
