Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) invites the community to experience a vibrant celebration of creativity during the Spring Arts Festival on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the DSCC Dyersburg campus. This free, family-friendly event will bring together art, music, theater, literature, and dance for a full day of performances, workshops, exhibits, and hands-on activities for all ages.Hosted in partnership with the Dyersburg–Dyer County Arts Council, the Spring Arts Festival highlights the importance of the arts within the community while showcasing the talents of local artists, performers, and creators.
Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic experiences across campus. Activities include art exhibits and a community art project inside the Learning Resource Center, creative writing workshops and open mic sessions hosted by the English Department, children’s art activities, and interactive opportunities for participants to engage with the arts firsthand. Local artisans, vendors, and food trucks will also be on site throughout the festival.
Live performances and programming will take place throughout the morning, including small-ensemble performances, theater presentations, and a community band on the Student Center lawn.
The festival will culminate with the “Spring into the Arts Showcase” at 1:00 p.m. inside DSCC’s Dr. Carl Christian Andersen Hall, featuring performances by the DSCC Community Band, DSCC Choir, Fine Arts Warehouse Dance Studio, and members of the Dyersburg–Dyer County Arts Council. The showcase will also include a special presentation exploring “How Taylor Swift Sounds Like Taylor Swift” and the unveiling of the community art project created during the event.
Following the showcase, guests are invited to stay for a family-friendly arts-themed feature film screening beginning at approximately 2:20 p.m., offering a relaxed afternoon activity for festival attendees.
The Spring Arts Festival provides the community with an opportunity to connect with the arts, discover local talent, and celebrate creativity together on the DSCC campus.
