About this Event
Starting October 25th, Swift Fit Events is partnering with Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas (DSACT) to host a weekly downtown run club for all levels, preparing you to run and support the Austin Marathon! We'll encourage movement through running, dance-walking, and whatever else gets you motivated and moving.
The focus of this club is to create an inclusive, weekly social event to encourage healthy habits and promote lasting, meaningful friendships. Instructors from Swift Fit Events will facilitate this weekly run club with the help of a few volunteers.
This club is open to everyone, whether you have Down syndrome, love someone who has Down syndrome, or just want to make new friends! The instructors and volunteers will guide all participants in a Circle Up from 9 to 9:15 AM. This is a time when we introduce ourselves and provide motivation and connection for the run group. After the Circle Up, you are welcome to join us on the run or walk by choosing from one of the pace groups, or continue with your own run plans.
Participants just need an RSVP, running-appropriate attire, and a smile to come join the fun!
