Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Tasting
From The Shed Distillery
Thursday, April 30
Russell’s Saloon, Dundalk
Hosted by Cian Wrynne, International On-Premise Development Manager
Join us for an evening celebrating the story and spirit of The Shed Distillery, founded by PJ Rigney.
It was during the solar transit of the Winter Solstice in 2014 that the revered tradition of distilling Irish whiskey returned to the western province of Connacht. On 21st December, PJ and Denise Rigney, along with their dedicated team of distillers, laid down the first whiskey in Connacht in over 101 years.
Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is triple distilled at The Shed Distillery using malted Irish barley, unmalted Irish barley and Irish Barra oats. It is aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry and Kentucky bourbon casks, with no added colour and no chill filtration. This Single Pot Still has been proudly distilled under the guidance of Head Distiller, Brian Taft.
Guests will be welcomed with a Gunpowder Gin reception drink, followed by a brief introduction to the distillery and the expressions featured on the night.
Whiskeys will include:
- Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey
- Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey – Tawny Port Cask
- Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey – Marsala Cask
- Drumshanbo Single Malt Irish Whiskey
