Drumming with the Ancestors – Stories, Drums & Dance
Come join us at Fore Street Library (Living Room Library) for a unique evening of drumming, storytelling, and dance in celebration of Black History Month and to raise funds for The Africa Centre.
What to Expect:
- Storytelling Circle – Share and hear stories that celebrate heritage and community.
- Dance Moves – A mini Caribbean dance demonstration with a carnival twist. Learn simple steps & join the fun.
- Carnival Vibes - Headpeices and props on display
- Drum Circle Jam – Bring your drum, percussion, or just your hands, & be part of a powerful communal rhythm.
This family-friendly gathering is interactive and rooted in community spirit. Come ready to listen, move, and drum together as we honour the past and celebrate the present.
Entry: Donation-based (minimum £5). - contributions support The Africa Centre’s cultural and educational work.
