"Drumming in the Dream Banners," a part of A Gathering of Interbeing in Washington DC September 13, continues in cities throughout the United States for the next several months.Grand Rapids is honored to hold a "Drumming in the Dream Banners" ceremony on October 19. Banners included in the Washington DC event as well as newly contributed banners will reflect the vision of what participants would like for the world. As creator Kat VanHammen writes on her website, gatheringofinterbeing.org, the banners "will be hung like prayer flags along with feathers and crystals to carry the vision of those who gather that day. Then we will drum! Then we will drum!"
You can participate in one or more of the following ways:
~Create a 2' wide by 3' long banner with a 2" curtain sleeve at the top out of any type of fabric or art materials that expresses your heart's deepest dream for the country. Local participants may drop off their banners to Cheryl Blackington at 38 Auburn Ave SE, Grand Rapids 49506. Anyone who needs to send the banner in the mail should send it to Kat VanHammen at 2742 62nd St., Fennville, MI 49408. Please be sure your banners arrive to either location by October 15.
Attend the event and participate by
