Drumming for meditation to the rhythm of the drums can bring a sense of calmness, an increase in our focus and a feeling of peace.What to expect?
At our free community gathering we will share in the playing of some easy drum patterns, there will be a guided spoken word meditation, and some spontaneous drumming towards the end as we celebrate our connection with the earth and each other.
To recognize NAIDOC week there will be an opportunity to taste some bushfoods prepared from ingredients in the community garden thanks to Margaret the garden coordinator.
Setting up from 10.00am. The HMC cafe will be open from 8.30am to 12.45pm if you'd like to come early or stay on after our gathering.
Lots of DRIVE IN PARKING inside the property or catch a train to Waratah Station and walk across the road.
Bring a drum if you have one and spare drums will also be available to play.
You are also welcome to come just to sit, to listen, to meditate.
We'll be lighting up the Fire Pit if conditions are suitable.
