Hello beautiful beings!🤍✨️🥰 Please join us at the Drum, Dance and Sound Healing ✨️🦋 An evening of dancing, drumming, sound, heart connection, and re-alignment, as we let go of all that no longer serves us 🙏
Tune in to yourself, your heart, and your body and choose how you wish to express yourself at any given time during the evening! You can get into a trance like state with the rhythmic drumming, or flow and move your body to the music.
👀 ✨️ 👀 This is a dress up event, meaning that you are free to wear a costume if you choose, or anything that makes you feel radiantly - YOU!
It is encouraged to frequently check in with yourself throughout the evening, to tune in and listen to how it would feel best to express yourself and move through your journey.
Drumming and drum beats are the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and carries potent medicine and energies of connection. It is a powerful way to express ourselves through reconnecting with our own hearts and bodies, while becoming one with the earth and each other.
Ecstatic dance is freeform dance practice, which occurs within a created safe, and sacred space where participants are encouraged to fully express themselves through movement and dance. No dance experience is required and there are also no set dance moves to learn. Participants are encouraged to tune into their bodies, and feel the music from within, allowing their bodies to move in whatever way feels good. Taking a non-judgemental approach to your own movements, is highly encouraged. Come out of the mind, and into the heart, soul and body! It doesn't matter what your movements look like, this is an INNER JOURNEY!
The Ecstatic Dance is SUBSTANCE FREE, family friendly event which is open to all ages. The Ecstatic Dance is done in SILENCE, as talking takes away from the experience of the inner journey. Vocalizations are welcomed and encouraged if not in the form of words. If children are in attendance, it would be appreciated if they are old enough to understand this guideline of not talking. However, it is realized that kids will be kids!
All of your emotions are welcome in this space. Sometimes when we dance and move our bodies, emotions that were previously trapped may rise to the surface. Know that this is perfectly normal if it happens, and you are encouraged to lean in and allow these emotions to be expressed. This is a safe space!
RECORDING VIDEOS IS NOT PERMITTED as this compormises that sacredness and safety of the container.
Being barefoot is highly recommended for being more grounded into the earth, though you may wear footwear if you are more comfortable doing so. If you wish to wear shoes, please bring a pair of indoor footwear to keep the floors clean and safe for all 😊
Please bring your DRUM, or PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS. If you have any extras that you wish to share, plesse bring those along as well.
Please DRESS IN LAYERS and bring a WATER BOTTLE with you to stay hydrated.
Please also bring some comfort items, such as a Yoga Mat and BLANKET for the sound healing (though there are extras located at the studio).
Please come with an open heart, mind and soul 🤍
Some of the benefits of Ecstatic dance include but are not limited to: stress relief, increase in blood circulation, releasing trapped emotions, and becoming more in tune with your body.
We will begin with an opening circle outlining the guidelines of the event, and intention setting for our evening.
We will close with a sound healing journey with crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and voice. This experience will bring our focus to our breath and allow us to reflect on our experience of the evening.
Tickets are $25 each, payable by cash at the door. Entry for children 12 and under is FREE.
