Join us for an evening sharing beats, drumming, dancing, and celebration! Bring your own percussion instrument to share in the collective rhythm we create together. All skills welcome. If you tend to be a lead, we ask if you can help us colaborate to create a communal experience for everyone to enjoy. And if you’re shy or don’t feel confident, feel free to try something new!
The first 15 minutes will be a basic on drum circle etiquette with some practice rhythms. The rest of the time will be a jam.
Chenchira comes from a family line of women who have been silenced for generations. Certified in sound healing, she finds great joy in liberating voices and guiding others to break generational patterns so that they may follow their own soul's deepest purpose. In her mid-twenties, Chenchira experienced shamanic healing for the first time, and has shared that her life was utterly and completely changed. She has since studied with profound spiritual teachers including Sandra Ingerman, Mary Tyrtle Rooker, Evelyn Rysdyk, and Christina Pratt. Blending a path of contemporary Western shamanism and animism, she continues to study the practices of her ancestors from different indigenous cultures of Europe and Asia as well as Theravada Buddhism. Chenchira has been studying and practicing alternative healing techniques for the past 15+ years.
