Come get your groove on! High energy world fusion and percussion.
Point of Interest:
Since 2021, Drum Brothers have been featuring the next generation of family performers, Matthew and Tracy's sons, Nyon and Ravi Marsolek. Multi-instrumentalists raised in an environment of music-making, rhythm events, and numerous road trips, they're contributing greatly to the new sound of the band with bass and electric guitar, percussion, and vocals.
Bio:
Drum Brothers present high energy performances that celebrate a diverse mix of world instruments and sounds: West African djembe and dunun drums, Middle Eastern frame drums, Australian didgeridoo, close harmony vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and original arrangements and compositions. They’ve performed at numerous venues throughout the Northwest and Canada, have been a featured act at the Seattle World Percussion Festival, and have shared the stage with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. They've also been featured on the award winning PBS series, 11th and Grant with Eric Funk. Drum Brothers have been at the forefront of the American hand drumming movement since it began in the early 1990s. Over the years, they have offered numerous school and community rhythm classes, drum circles, and more recently, interactive team building events for organizations and community groups. The ensemble is comprised of brothers Matthew and Michael Marsolek, Tracy Topp, and brothers Nyon and Ravi Marsolek.
