Drug & Alcohol Awareness

Please note this training is for attendees in the HIPS (Hampshire, UK) area.

Learning outcomes:

• This training will increase understanding of the use, risks and impact of alcohol and drug use to support our partnership work to reduce harm and support people with treatment and support needs to get the help they need
• These sessions are constructed with harm reduction as the principal aim, whilst delivering a hopeful message about recovery.
• Participants will gain a better understanding (types, use and risks) of the major drugs that cause harm in our city, including alcohol, and will be given actionable information that can be used in sessions with people who use alcohol and/ or drugs.
• Delivered by our Adult Alcohol and Drug Service, Change Grow Live, these sessions are completely free, flexible, non-judgemental and have had consistent positive feedback over the last six years
