The Droptines

The Droptines are an alternative country band from Concan, Texas, formed in 2019 by Conner Arthur, also known as "The King of Concan". The band's name comes from the downward-facing points on a buck's rack, pronounced like the "tines" of a fork. The Droptines' music blends many genres, including country, rock, blues, and folk, and incorporates vernacular from the Texas Hill Country. Their lyrics can be uninhibited and brash, and often explore themes of impulse control, moral conundrums, sex, drugs, and booze, as well as biblical themes and questions about existence. The band's sound is also characterized by watery vocals, suggestive or brash language, and a rock approach, often featuring country banjo or mandolin.
