About this Event
in this workshop, you'll learn how to use a drop spindle, one of the oldest tools for spinning fibre under the expert guidance of Nessa and Sofia of Four Otter Craft Studio.
You'll practise twisting and plying wool to make stronger, usable yarn.
The class will teach you how to prepare wool fibres and try out the techniques of spinning and plying. By the end, you'll have a sample of your own hand-spun yarn as a reminder of your creative journey with this ancient craft. You'll leave feeling accomplished, inspired, and connected to the tradition of spinning.
Spindle kits will be available to purchase.
Suitable for age 12 plus (all children must be supervised in the room by an adult)
