Celebrating 10 Years of the SOXBOX Initiative
For the past decade, we have been collecting new socks each December to support individuals experiencing homelessness. What began with just 44 pairs of socks in our first year has grown into a meaningful and far-reaching initiative.
Since 2016, the SOXBOX Initiative has collected and distributed over 50,000 pairs of new socks to shelters locally, across Canada, and internationally. This milestone reflects the generosity and compassion of our supporters and partners, without whom this would not have been possible.
In recognition of our 10th anniversary, this year’s campaign was further strengthened through the official recognition of SEVA Month, encouraging individuals and organizations to participate in acts of selflessness and community service.
This year, more than 70 SOXBOX donation boxes were set up globally to help collect new pairs of socks for people in need.
