Drop-in Volunteering opportunities occur one Friday a month from February to October 2026. Most months, activities begin at 3 pm. In February activities begin at 1 pm.

-Assist with pruning historic fruit trees while learning about orchard care and the role orchards played in homesteading life.

-Help clean and maintain outdoor interpretive and directional trail signs to keep them readable and welcoming for visitors.

🌱April 17: Garlic Mustard Removal
-Support prairie restoration by identifying and removing garlic mustard, an invasive plant that impacts native species.

-Continue invasive species management efforts focused on garlic mustard to help protect native prairie ecosystems.

-Document seasonal wildflowers using the iNaturalist app to contribute to plant monitoring and citizen science data.

-Assist with simple water observations to better understand and document the health of park waterways and prairie systems.
