We all want to be happy, but so often we look for happiness in the wrong places — in better circumstances, better relationships, or a better version of ourselves. Buddha taught that real happiness begins in the mind, and that by developing positive inner habits we can create a deeply peaceful and joyful life from within.In this 6-week term, we’ll explore practical habits of mind that help us respond to life in a lighter, wiser and more positive way. Through guided meditation, clear teachings, and simple methods to use in daily life, we’ll learn how to build the inner causes of happiness for ourselves and others.
Over the course of the term we’ll look at how to:
Look inside for Happiness
Develop Resilience
Delight in the Happiness of Others
Give Happiness
Develop the Inner Peace of Concentration
Discover the Inner Light of Wisdom
Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to drop in when you can. No previous experience is needed — everyone is welcome.
During the class there is an opportunity to ask questions and you are welcome to stay afterwards for refreshments.
The classes are offered in-person on Monday evenings at 7pm at KMC Nottingham, Gedling House and available as a livestream to members.
£8.00 per class (£40 for six-week course)
