About this Event
Join the CIty of Bend Water Conservation Department, Bend Urban Gardens and Worthy Garden Club for a hands-on workshop all about converting traditional watering systems to drip irrigation.
In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn how drip irrigation works, why it’s ideal for Central Oregon gardens and how to retrofit an existing garden bed or sprinkler system. We’ll cover basic system components, layout planning, installation tips and common troubleshooting challenges. Participants will get hands-on experience throughout the process and leave with the knowledge and confidence to build or upgrade their own system at home - all while helping the community garden save water!
No prior experience required.
Note: Parking is available along NE Larch and 9th Streets, on the southeast side of the garden. There are no bathroom facilities available on-site, but there are public bathrooms 1 block away.
