About this Event
Will teach you how to make a pair of pyjama trousers. You will learn:
- How to measure yourself and choose a pattern size
- Tracing pattern pieces
- Understanding pattern markings
- Cutting your pattern pieces from your fashion fabric
- Inserting side seam pockets
- Making an elastic casing
- Hemming and finishing your woven fabric
By the end of the class you should have a fully completed pair of simple trousers, and the confidence to make more when you return home.
Sewing machines, thread and notions will be included in the cost of the course, but students should bring their own fashion fabric to make the trousers from. Please see the chart below for details. If you require assistance please ask in store.

Required:
- Fabric (see chart below) These are minimum fabric requirements for 44”/112cm wide fabric, please bear in mind that you will need to purchase more for directional prints or if you need to add additional length. Does not include extra for shrinkage. Woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, cotton lawn, flannel etc. Stretch fabrics are not suitable for this pattern.
