From pattern drafting using original drafting manuals to sourcing period-accurate materials, each decision made in designing a costume is meticulously researched and grounded in evidence. This lecture offers a peek behind the scenes of living history, showing how every detail of a garment helps to form an impression of an inhabitant of 19th century New Brunswick.The presentation will take place after the York Sunbury Historical Society’s Annual General Meeting, light refreshments will be provided.
